2013.3.9 SANOMAGIC Wooden Bicycle

2013年3月9日、生暖かい春の陽気をうけ、花粉も飛んで目がかゆいけれど、
北米ハンドメイドバイシクルショーはどうだったか、聞きに行ってみよう。
On March 9, 2013, we had mild weather and flying pollen in Tokyo.
I went to SANOMAGIC to ask Sueshiro's impression on the NAHBS.

米国デンバー帰りのT3。無事でよかった。NAHBSでは大変な人気となり、末四郎は英文メール対応に追われているようです。
現在はバイクの注文を受け付けていませんが、来週さっそく米国から見学者がくるらしい。
700Cエアロホイールは既に４つ注文を受けてしまったそうです。
T3は4月6日に軽井沢ニューアートミュージーアムに運ばれる。小畑は、本日初めて試乗しました。
エアロホイールは剛性がありながら路面からの振動吸収がさらによく、しっとりとした乗り心地。
またがったT3フレームは筋肉質の動物のように骨張り波打ち、触ると生暖かい。これは自転車とは別の乗り物のようだ。
T3 returned from Denver. Mahogany Bikes became popular in the NAHBS, some visitors will come to SANOMAGIC from the US next week.
T3 will be carried to the Karuizawa New Art Museum on April 6, and will be exhibited in the museum from May to September 2013. Today,
I rode T3 for the first time. The mahogany aero wheel absorbed vibration from a road surface while ensuring a sufficient rigidity.
The T3 frame waving under my body looked like an angular backbone of some muscularity animal, and was warm.

こちらもデンバー帰りの小径車T1。次女のマリコちゃんが担いで運んだ。ご苦労様です。
ショー中もずっとサポートし、「秘書の方ですか」とか聞かれたそうな。
北米ハンドメイドバイシクルショーについては、後日、マリコちゃんの撮影した写真で詳しく紹介します。
ロードバイクの展示は少なく、一番多かったのは何とピスト、次がマウンテンバイクだったそうです。
ところ変われば、品変わる。そういえば、今度、固定ホルモン会の要請により、T2をピストに改造します。新たなコラボ、ぜひ乗せて下さい！
小径車T1は日本未来科学館の特別展「The 世界一展」に展示されます。みんな出張で忙しい。
Here is Mini Wheel Road T1 also returned from Denver. Second daughter of Sueshiro,
Ms. Mariko, carried this bike to Denver. This home page will introduce the atmosphere of NAHBS later showing photographs taken by Ms. Mariko.
Mini Wheel Road T1 will be also exhibited in National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation on May 2013.

帰国後早速製作を開始したマホガニーバイク。オーナーは自転車関係の中国の方。
最初は700Cのご注文でしたが、小径車2号機を見て、小径車に変更された。小径車3号機となります。
Sueshiro has begun manufacturing frame parts of Mini wheel road No. 3 immediately after having returned from the US.

小径車3号機のヘッドチューブ(左）とフロントフォーク。変わった部品構成でのご注文らしい。お楽しみに。
完成後、2013年5月5日～9日の上海バイシクルショーに出展します。末四郎さんも忙しいねえ。体大事にしてください。
The left is a head tube part, and the right is a front fork of the MWR-3. MWR-3 will be exhibited in the Shanghai Cycle Show 2013 on May 5 to 9, 2013.

さて、こちらは本日のオーディオシステム。
よりよい音質を求めて、佐藤師匠と末四郎により、どんどん変わっていきます。進化はとどまることがない。
Here is today's audio system of SANOMAGIC. The audio system of SANOMAGIC is changed every time I visit SANOMAGIC. Evolution never stops.

四の五の言わずに、さっそく試聴する。
Let's listen to the sound without questions.

あれ、コンピューターも違うね。前のはどうなったのかな。
The computer is different from the prior one.

佐藤さんが改造したDSDレコーダーはマホガニーのケースに収まっている。これもメーカー試聴室に持って行ったらしい。
The DSD recorder modified by Mr. Sato is covered with a mahogany case.

真空管アンプも変更。これは、佐藤さんのご自宅にあった50年前？のマッキントッシュの真空管アンプとのこと。現在提供し得る最高音質だそうです。
今後、佐藤さんは独自の真空管アンプをマホガニースピーカー用に設計製作するとのこと。
The tube amp was also changed. This is a Mcintosh's tube amp produced about 50 years ago and has been lovingly used in Mr. Sato's house.
He said this provide the highest tone quality even now.

マホガニースピーカーも次から次へと増殖中。一つ一つ全部異なり、作るそばから巣立っていく。
エージングのため、最新作を常に鳴らしている。今鳴っているのは、非対称スピーカの内側隣にある小さいスピーカー。
豊かで透き通った音を奏でます。美空ひばりの声って、こうだったんだと感慨にふけった。
Sueshiro is producing various mahogany speakers one after another. New speakers are subjected to aging everyday.

暖かくなったら、この場所で、マホガニースピーカーコンサートを開く予定です！。
お好きな音楽があればUSBメモリーで持参していただき、夜7時から10時くらいに、椅子に座ってワインでも飲みながら聞き比べをしましょう。

Sueshiro plans to have a "Mahogany Concert" at SANOMAGIC during a night.
He wishes many guests come and listen to mahogany speakers playing their favorite music in silent night.

この小さいスピーカーがどんな音を出すか、とくとお聴きください。
先日、末四郎は佐藤さんと共に大手音響メーカーの試聴室に数種運び、音響プロの皆さんに聞いていただいたところ、
「なぜこんな音がでるのか」問題になったとのこと。
Especially, please try to listen to these small mahogany speakers.
The other day Sueshiro and Mr. Sato brought some mahogany speakers to a listening room of a famous audio maker and received an appraisal by professional listeners. They said they cannot understand why small mahogany speakers can produce such high fidelity sound.

マホガニースピーカーの脚の板バネを制作中。脚をつけると音質がさらに増します。百見は一聞に如かず。
