Report of frame parts of Mahogany Bike No. 14.
A celebration of completing Tokyo Gate Bridge is held today.
So, a lot of road bikes are running near SANOMAGIC.

おお、半年ぶりのT2。V&Aからお帰り。ロンドンで何を見てきたんでしょうね。
T2 after a half year. What have you seen in London?

手入れがよく、全身が飴色に光る。
今年はアイアンマンレースに出場するかもね。いつまでも忙しいT2なのです。
Whole surface of T2 shines in amber colour. T2 may participate in the iron man race this year.

「半年ぶりに乗ったがフレームアシストが最強でやはり速い。
シートポスト一体化すればさらに凄いことになる」と末四郎。
"The frame assistance of T2 is the strongest.
If the seat post is integrated with the seat tube, it will run terribly fast.", said Sueshiro.

こちらは14号機のフレーム。どんどん製作が進んでいる。
This is the frame of Mahogany Bike No. 14.

トップチューブが撫で肩になり、サドルが下がる。レディースバイクにも適用できる。
The top tube slopes to lower the saddle height. This profile can be applied to mahogany bikes for ladies.

所定の高さのスペーサを下に置いて、中心線を水平にしたところ。
The frame is placed horizontal on spacers of predetermined heights.

もちろん、トップチューブとダウンチューブは中空化されている。
将来的には、フレームを細くして中空化しないタイプも作るかも知れないとのこと。
Of course, the down tube and top tube were made hollow.
"In the future, I may try to produce solid type mahogany frames
which are not hollow and are thinner than those hollow type frames", Sueshiro said.


50mmのスペーサを枕にする。原図とは寸分の違いもない。

これからエンド金具が装着されるスリット。
Slits were formed in the frame end to mount duralumin brackets.

最終的にはフレームを削り込み、オーナーにとって最適なアシストが得られるように調整する。
The frame will be shaved to offer the optimum assist effect for the owner.

14号機のその他の部品。
画面右端から、シートポスト、ハンドル下部、サドル鞍部、
サドル座部、フロントフォーク、ハンドル中央、ヘッドチューブ、シートチューブ。

From the right to the left, seat post, handle lower part,
saddle support, saddle seat, front fork, handle center, head tube, seat tube.

ほぼ全ての部品がここにある。
Here are almost all the parts.

さて、なんでシートチューブが2本あるのか。
実は、5号機のオーナーがシートポスト一体化改造をご希望のため。
5号機は東京ゲートブリッジのイベントに参加しているらしい。
Why are there two seat tubes?
It is because the owner of Mahogany Bike No. 5 has ordered
the integration of the seat post and the seat tube of Mahogany Bike 5.

高価なマホガニーの大部分が切屑になってしまう。
自転車の歩留まりは相当低いという。
The majority of expensive mahogany becomes shavings and sawdust.
Indeed, the yield rate of mahogany bikes is very low, Sueshiro said.

また新しいスピーカがあった。直径10cmのフルレンジを装着。
小型の箱で信じられない音を出します。現在、最も希望者の多いタイプ。
There were new speakers equipped with a full-range speaker unit of 10cm diameter.
In spite of the smallness, they provide incredible sweet sound.
These are the most popular type in SANOMAGIC.

Color of the speaker cover can be freely selected by owner.
Sequential SANOMAGIC number is engraved on each back plate.
カバーの色はオーナーの自由。一台毎に背面に番号が彫り込まれている。

トールボーイ2号と並べたところ。切り替えていろいろ聞き比べるのはとても楽しいです。
It is placed next to Tall Boy II.
It is enjoyable for us to listen to various mahogany speakers by switching.

来るたびに何台か入れ替わっている。
一番上の水色の布をかぶっている大型スピーカーが最強。
Everytime I come here, a few set of speakers disappear and new ones appear.
The large speakers placed at the top and wrapped in light blue cloths are of the highest grade.

さて、高品質ベアリングを入手し、とうとう試作が始まります。
「マホガニーエアロホイール」。
ベンツマーク型のマホガニーエアロスポークで、特注ハブとマホガニーディープリムを一体化する。
宇宙初?の試み。どのような物ができるか、ご期待ください。
Ball bearings of the highest grade.
Using these, Sueshiro will start at last to produce "Mahogany Aero Wheel".
It will have Benz mark shaped mahogany aero spokes integrally connecting a mahogany aero rim and a special hub.

長命さんと7号機もやってきました。
今日は東京ゲートブリッジの開通イベントとかで、新木場のあたりも自転車がやけに多い。
Mr. Chomei and his Mahogany Bike 7 has come to SANOMAGIC.
Today, there is the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Gate Bridge.
So, many road bikes are running through Sinkiba area near SANOMAGIC.

長命さんも7号機に付けたイノウでイベントを撮ろうとしたが、
ものすごい混雑だったとか。何か撮れましたか。
"The ceremony was terriblely crowded", Mr. Chomei said.
He tried to take movies of the ceremony by INOU attached on his Bike 7. Did you take something?

こちらの方も、ゲートブリッジを見てから来場。青いアマンダのフレームにSANOMAGICのホイール。

小径車MWR-T2は、最近地震が多いので、自宅に戻している。見たい方は予め伝えてください。

アマンダフレームの方は、自宅の小径車にソリッドタイヤを付けて災害時に備えたいとのこと。

2月11日、話に出た東京ゲートブリッジを若洲海浜公園から撮影。
明日から開通するという。静かなのは今日までか。
夕日をバックに撮影のカメラマンが多いね。
February 11, I went to see the Tokyo Gate Bridge at Wakasu Kaihin Koen Park.
Tomorrow, the bridge will be opened to traffic.
I saw many people taking final pictures of the silent bridge and the sunset.
